Solar Eclipse Sunday May 20th
by judy on May.16, 2012, under In The News
Sunday, May 20th there will be a visible solar eclipse for us all to enjoy. In L.A., it happens at 4:47 PM, New York at 7:47 PM, London at 12:47 AM, Delhi at 5:47 AM, and Sidney at 9:47 AM.
So we’ve seen these before, but now that we are all more conscious of the cosmic events and how they effect us all, this one is very special.
If you are watching from the land running from Northern California to Texas, you’ll be seeing an annular eclipse, in which the rim of the Sun becomes a brilliant ring completely encircling the black silhouette of the Moon.
The Sun will move down the afternoon sky when a dark indent begins on one edge. The indent will deepen, eventually turning the Sun into a fat crescent – or, for the western half of the continent, a thin crescent. This is the silhouette of the new Moon traveling along its monthly orbit around the Earth.
Watch as the eclipse deepens for the sky to turn a darker shade of blue, and for Venus to appear east of the Sun.
Wesak Full Moon in Scorpio
by judy on May.05, 2012, under In The News

Every year in Tibet and other parts of the world people celebrate this full moon, as the Buddha’s birth. It is known all over Asia as either ‘Wesak’ or ‘Buddha Purnima’.
In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, during this Full Moon we connect to the ‘Wheel of Time’, Kalachakra, with the Mandala for World Peace. This is a wonderful day to look into ourselves for the change we wish to see in the world.
Jupiter and Venus Dancing Through the Sky
by judy on Mar.12, 2012, under In The News
Have you wondered what those two bright “stars” are in the skies lately? They are the planets Jupiter and Venus, dancing the night away through the heavens. The biggest and brightest is Venus, as it is closer to our planet. How does this dance effect us? With these two planets in Taurus, we focus our energies to move ahead with our worldly goals, and with determination we meet them.
With the Sun in Pisces through March 19th, take this time to dream the creative dream that will actualize the goals you’ve set for yourself. If you set them, you get them:)
Countdown to Spring!
by judy on Feb.25, 2012, under In The News
Out in California, Spring OFFICIALLY begins March 19th at 11:14 PM!!! Yay! So, that means the first day of Spring is March 20th, 2012. This has been an interesting winter, weather wise, and it feels like Spring has already sprung.
There is still time to enjoy the end of the Solar Year, putting things in order to end the year properly. Then wham, a new beginning for us all!
Just knowing this gives us all the opportunity to “clean house” so to speak, clearing the debris of the past and dreaming what seeds we want to plant for our future. As in the garden, the seeds depend on the work we do prior to ever putting ithem in the ground. So take the time necessary to get the most wonderful outcome for your time spent. Dare to dream big!

The Saturn Return
by judy on Dec.01, 2011, under In The News
Just what is a Saturn Return? It’s a term used by astrologers that means Saturn has returned to it’s natal home, the exact placement it had in your birth chart. So what? How does it influence us?
Saturn is the strict teacher of the zodiac, a planet that inspires us to learn through trial and error, and hopefully learn through each experience. It is one of the slower moving planets, astrologically speaking, and it takes 2 to 2 1/2 years to move through each of the houses in our horoscope. It is called the planet that rules Karma, the law of action and reaction, and it teaches us to take responsibility for our actions.
When Saturn Returns, it has journeyed through all twelve houses of the zodiac, and we have experienced the teachings that each house has for us. Experiences become like a compass that helps us navigate what’s right and what’s wrong for us as individuals. When we have our personal return, the first occurring between 28-30 years old, the second 56-60 and the third 84-90, we are faced with possibly a crisis that changes the landscape of our life and consciousness, or we might see where we have done our best and now the greater consequences of our life begin to happen. It all depends on how these years are spent; either dedicated to our own growth and formation, or escaping responsibility and not trying very hard.
Striving to complete all past activities, and leave no stone unturned in our quest for learning, we are now ready to begin the next 30 year cycle. It is a brand new beginning, a different life to start due to the wisdom gained through the former cycle of Saturn.
If you fall between these ages, consider the harder lessons you have been going through like finishing school. Be flexible, let go of old behaviors, fears and habits, and become the best person you can be during this transit.

The Comet Elenin 2011
by judy on Aug.28, 2011, under In The News
There is a lot of speculation going on with the Comet Elenin (C/2010 X1 Elenin). In case you haven’t heard about it, it is a comet discovered by Leonid Elenin of Moscow December 10, 2010, at the ISON-NM observatory, and is now in our solar system. It’s trajectory has been tracked since it’s discovery, and many are watching in anticipation in the astronomical world.
As an astrologer I wanted to keep a level head when writing this article, as my curiosity is inquiring as a astronomical body, how will the comet effect us and planet Earth? The speculation runs the full spectrum of fear mongering and end of the world scenarios, to possible weather effects or no effect at all. But, being an astrologer, I am used to being scoffed at for believing that these bodies do in fact have many effects on us, whether we know it consciously or not.
This comet brings to light what I spoke about in my last article, about Neptune Retrograde in Aquarius and what it reveals. Now is a time, with all of the earthquakes, weather, and volcanic possibilities hitting us at home, to take a deep breath and look at the signs. We are in an “end times” transit, which means the old world is changing and we are here to change with it. Being afraid of change just incapacitates us, looking at it as an opportunity to grow and learn enlightens us.
Look at what Hurricane Irene has done to the East Coast. It’s bringing people to their knees, wondering what to do. Many people I’ve spoken to have called in friends and family to their aid to move out of it’s path and wait it out. We see we are all in it together and help is on the way. Not from the government, or the local authorities so much as each other. We are here learning how small we are in respect to our planet, and how we are subject to whatever we as a body are experiencing.
Periscope out to our astral community and what effects it has on our planet, then look at this comet. Some hold it responsible for these weather anomalies and the seismic activity in unlikely places like Washington DC. Some say it is the perfect cover up for HAARP and it’s uses. Time to do some reading folks, some research, and to learn. Many live like the ostrich with its head buried; it’s time to wake up and take a look at things and become aware. There is no one but our own selves to know what is really taking place with a clear understanding having looked into all the information available to us. I’m saying to my readers, open your eyes and see clearly. Use your intuition to guide you through these so called “end times”, and let go of the fear attached to it.
I’m watching, I’m reading and researching, and I invite you to share your perceptions and insights with others so we may grow together.
Neptune’s Transit through Aquarius
by judy on Aug.12, 2011, under In The News
We are all experiencing the final movement of Neptune through the sign of Aquarius. This slow moving planet is retrograde one last time before going direct and into the sign of Pisces February 4, 2012. Just how is this planet influencing our lives in this sign?
Neptune transits bring illusion and delusion into view, regarding whatever sign it travels. Aquarius is the waterbearer of the zodiac, representing the pouring out of knowledge from the superconscious mind to be shared with humanity. It is an air sign, intellectual and communicative. It heightens our intuition and brings us together as a species. While Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998, many changes have taken place regarding computers, the world wide web, freedom and the lack of it, and working as a group to better the world. But one person or cultures answers to humanities needs can look like limitation to an others views.
We have an opportunity here, one that won’t come again in our lifetime (Neptune in Aquarius). We can choose to be a humanitarian, to work not only for our own benefits, but to see a global community that we can be of service to. We can use social networking to assist each other, revolutionize consciousness together by dropping our fears and facing an ever changing world with high hopes and follow through. Aquarius is the sign of the friend, and if we truly see each other through the eyes of friendship, we can best assist each other. Friendship isn’t about control, it’s about admiring the differences and learning from them.
Why do they do what they do?
by judy on Aug.10, 2011, under In The News
I sat at my computer this morning to write a post, and found 14 pages of posts written by a few different people pending to be posted. Wow. It would have been great if their posts had anything to do with my site or the posts I’ve put up over the years but these were about everything from Viagra to money scammers. I thought to myself, “why do they do what they do?”
In a world full of ways to communicate, why jump on my little astrology/metaphysics site and post your garbage? Isn’t there enough ways to communicate via your own site, from facebook to blogging to, you name it? So my astrologer mind took over and I looked at where we are in the grand scheme of things, to find some clues. All of these posts were put on my site while Mercury’s in Leo. Well, there is a piece of the puzzle…Mercury the messenger in Leo can bring those who want to be the center of attention (Leo rules the Sun), and inspires strong opinions to be expressed dramatically. It can make people embellish or exaggerate in order to get their point across. People feel they have an abundance of creative ideas and seek to share them.
But what ever happened to manners, to the golden rule? We can tell our stories without stepping on others’ toes, can’t we. As a member of the human race, I am all for sharing our thoughts, but how about doing it without taking advantage of others. In our current world, with all of the problems we are trying to solve, let us begin with ourselves. Be the change we wish to see in the world.
