The Comet Elenin 2011

by on Aug.28, 2011, under In The News

There is a lot of speculation going on with the Comet Elenin (C/2010 X1 Elenin). In case you haven’t heard about it, it is a comet discovered by Leonid Elenin of Moscow December 10, 2010, at the ISON-NM observatory, and is now in our solar system. It’s trajectory has been tracked since it’s discovery, and many are watching in anticipation in the astronomical world.

As an astrologer I wanted to keep a level head when writing this article, as my curiosity is inquiring as a astronomical body, how will the comet effect us and planet Earth? The speculation runs the full spectrum of fear mongering and end of the world scenarios, to possible weather effects or no effect at all. But, being an astrologer, I am used to being scoffed at for believing that these bodies do in fact have many effects on us, whether we know it consciously or not.

This comet brings to light what I spoke about in my last article, about Neptune Retrograde in Aquarius and what it reveals. Now is a time, with all of the earthquakes, weather, and volcanic possibilities hitting us at home, to take a deep breath and look at the signs. We are in an “end times” transit, which means the old world is changing and we are here to change with it. Being afraid of change just incapacitates us, looking at it as an opportunity to grow and learn enlightens us.

Look at what Hurricane Irene has done to the East Coast. It’s bringing people to their knees, wondering what to do. Many people I’ve spoken to have called in friends and family to their aid to move out of it’s path and wait it out. We see we are all in it together and help is on the way. Not from the government, or the local authorities so much as each other. We are here learning how small we are in respect to our planet, and how we are subject to whatever we as a body are experiencing.

Periscope out to our astral community and what effects it has on our planet, then look at this comet. Some hold it responsible for these weather anomalies and the seismic activity in unlikely places like Washington DC. Some say it is the perfect cover up for HAARP and it’s uses. Time to do some reading folks, some research, and to learn. Many live like the ostrich with its head buried; it’s time to wake up and take a look at things and become aware. There is no one but our own selves to know what is really taking place with a clear understanding having looked into all the information available to us. I’m saying to my readers, open your eyes and see clearly. Use your intuition to guide you through these so called “end times”, and let go of the fear attached to it.

I’m watching, I’m reading and researching, and I invite you to share your perceptions and insights with others so we may grow together.

Neptune’s Transit through Aquarius

by on Aug.12, 2011, under In The News

We are all experiencing the final movement of Neptune through the sign of Aquarius. This slow moving planet is retrograde one last time before going direct and into the sign of Pisces February 4, 2012. Just how is this planet influencing our lives in this sign?

Neptune transits bring illusion and delusion into view, regarding whatever sign it travels. Aquarius is the waterbearer of the zodiac, representing the pouring out of knowledge from the superconscious mind to be shared with humanity. It is an air sign, intellectual and communicative. It heightens our intuition and brings us together as a species. While Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998, many changes have taken place regarding computers, the world wide web, freedom and the lack of it, and working as a group to better the world. But one person or cultures answers to humanities needs can look like limitation to an others views.

We have an opportunity here, one that won’t come again in our lifetime (Neptune in Aquarius). We can choose to be a humanitarian, to work not only for our own benefits, but to see a global community that we can be of service to. We can use social networking to assist each other, revolutionize consciousness together by dropping our fears and facing an ever changing world with high hopes and follow through. Aquarius is the sign of the friend, and if we truly see each other through the eyes of friendship, we can best assist each other. Friendship isn’t about control, it’s about admiring the differences and learning from them.

Why do they do what they do?

by on Aug.10, 2011, under In The News

I sat at my computer this morning to write a post, and found 14 pages of posts written by a few different people pending to be posted. Wow. It would have been great if their posts had anything to do with my site or the posts I’ve put up over the years but these were about everything from Viagra to money scammers. I thought to myself, “why do they do what they do?”

In a world full of ways to communicate, why jump on my little astrology/metaphysics site and post your garbage? Isn’t there enough ways to communicate via your own site, from facebook to blogging to, you name it? So my astrologer mind took over and I looked at where we are in the grand scheme of things, to find some clues. All of these posts were put on my site while Mercury’s in Leo. Well, there is a piece of the puzzle…Mercury the messenger in Leo can bring those who want to be the center of attention (Leo rules the Sun), and inspires strong opinions to be expressed dramatically. It can make people embellish or exaggerate in order to get their point across. People feel they have an abundance of creative ideas and seek to share them.

But what ever happened to manners, to the golden rule? We can tell our stories without stepping on others’ toes, can’t we. As a member of the human race, I am all for sharing our thoughts, but how about doing it without taking advantage of others. In our current world, with all of the problems we are trying to solve, let us begin with ourselves. Be the change we wish to see in the world.

Jupiter enters Taurus June 5, 2011

by on May.29, 2011, under In The News

Jupiter will enter the sign of Taurus on June 5th, leaving its station in Aries since January 23, 2011.

Jupiter is our beneficial friend. The sign and house it is in when we are born can show us how to expand our lives, how to stretch and grow to our fullest potential. The planets are always moving, and when they change from sign to sign, it is called a transit. Jupiter is getting ready to change signs, from Aries to Taurus.

While in Aries, our opportunities and growth seemed to be driven, compulsive, spontaneous and fiery. We planted the seeds for our ideas and projects to take root. June 5th the planet moves into an earth sign, it’s time for these to become grounded in reality, and adjust to the changes we started.

The tendency now will be to stick to it, for good or bad, or to be resistant to the very changes we’ve inspired. It is potentially a very good time for making money and advancing through investments, but there is also the tendency for over doing it, and indulging. Take a clear and objective view of your finances prior to responding to the inspiration of this sign.

Jupiter in Taurus will trine Pluto in Capricorn, so big business will want to stick to the tried and true yet old ways regarding making money. The money changers may not be as successful as hoped for though, as Jupiter goes retrograde from 30 August to almost the end of the year.

My advice is to deal practically with those new beginnings, to learn what works and doesn’t in order to prune the garden prior to the Retrograde action of Jupiter beginning August 30th. Then the activity will be more inward rather than outward, so within the context of your personal and intimate life make the necessary adjustments to anchor in correctly these new enterprises. Once Jupiter goes direct on Christmas 2011, we move forward with these opportunities again.

Mars is moving into Aries! Let’s Go Do It

by on Apr.01, 2011, under In The News

Mars enters the sign of Aries on April 1, 2011 at 9:51 p.m. PDT (April 2 at 12:51 a.m. EDT) and will stay through May 11th. Ready to get your work boots on and get busy? Mars is the sign of action, initiation, and working hard toward our goals. Aries is the home sign for Mars, so it is “exalted” in this sign. Aries is the action fire sign; one that takes the lead and shows the way.

While Mars is in this sign, we can all make our move towards our future selves. This energy will support our efforts, and we can move more quickly towards success when we act confidently and make our movements count.

The Moon will be in Aries tomorrow with Mars, so this weekend we get a double hit of courage and will for our activities. Make it great!

Full “SuperMoon” March 19, 2011

by on Mar.15, 2011, under In The News

March 19th, 2011 the Full Moon in Virgo will be at it’s closest to Earth in the last 18 years. The term “supermoon” was coined by Astrologer Richard Nolle in the 70s, and is also known as the “lunar perigee”. It will be only 221,567 miles from Earth. Many astronomers are concerned this phenomenon will have an effect on climate patterns on Earth. Some people connect the lunar perigee or supermoon with catastrophe, like earthquakes. The moon’s gravity can even cause small but measureable ebbs and flows in the continents, called “land tides” or “solid Earth tides,” too. The tides are greatest during full and new moons.

In light of the recent earthquake in Japan, the astro-community is watching. Gordon Johnston, Planetary Program Executive for NASA, told FoxNews.com that “These will be the strongest tides of the month, but they won’t be much different from last year. They’re not that unusual from other tides around the full moon.”

“This coming full moon will be the brightest of the year,” Johnston added. The sky will be very stunning to photograph, so, don’t ever forget to bring your cameras.

Uranus moves into Aries

by on Mar.06, 2011, under In The News

URANUS in Aries March 11 2011 – May 15 2018
Look out here we go! Uranus is the dynamic planet of awakening, of letting go of old ways usually through unexpected and disruptive action. It shakes us out of our delirium and orders us to get out of our self imposed cage and do something about our life. No more blame.

In Aries the fire sign, the emphasis will be on independence and new beginnings. Uranus will bring us all changes this year (2011). If there are areas in your life that are stagnant, limiting, and intolerable,Uranus will target them. Unfortunately it can be an upheaval if you are not living positively and proactively. It is a time also of spiritual tests and awakening.

If we use this time to change what needs changing with the courage Aries delivers us, we will be new individuals once this transit is over.
We can bring new innovative changes to the world now, We will find this transit of Uranus will bring breakthroughs in science, medicine and technology.

The last time Uranus was in Aries was from 1927 to 1935, when the stock market crashed and the great depression started. That certainly seems like another possibility, as does a world war (Aries is the sign of war). Uranus also rules revolt, and the dictatorial regimes that revolt often engenders – Iran, for example, is an Aquarian nation, (ruling planet is Uranus). The action to come will be for liberating those who are limited in their current existence, from one country’s struggle to the individual plight for freedom.

Where Uranus lands in our individual natal charts can direct us to the changes ahead for us, and help guide our hands to what needs fixing. Be advised, it will affect us all, so the old adage, “Know Thyself” takes on a special importance. It is the way to our new selves.

Saturn Retrograde 2011 and what it brings us

by on Jan.26, 2011, under In The News

Over the last several years Saturn has been doing the dance of the spheres, going direct, then retrograde, then direct, then retrograde… Well get your dancing shoes on as Saturn is Retrograde this year from January 26-June 12.

Saturn is the planet that directs “karma”, or the law of action/reaction, and consequences. It can limit us until we discover our responsibilities and duties, and teaches us to stick with it for best results. When it goes retrograde, it becomes impossible to rush things and have them turn out well. Saturn teaches us with proper planning and follow through we can accomplish our long term goals.

Saturn is staying in the sign of Libra, so we are staying on task with our relationships. Libra is all about balance, equality, harmony and cooperation. Many of us born in the 50s and the early 80s have Saturn in Libra in our natal charts, so this tour of duty is very important to us. The qualities we have refused to see in prior lifetimes are now being mirrored back to us through our friends, enemies, and our love partners. We must take our interactions within relationships seriously during this period in order to move forward. We must see our piece in this puzzle and take responsibility for our thoughts and actions.
