Amelia Earhart’s Crash

by on Aug.07, 2009, under In The News

earhartAmelia Earhart was a Leo. She was regal since birth, raised to know the difference between classes and social structures due to her Mother’s family. Leo’s are courageous leaders, and Amelia proved to be one of the most notable for her time.

See her chart and analysis HERE

When she was nearing her 40th Birthday, she undertook the journey of her life, to circumnavigate the globe. She made an earlier attempt, traveling from east to west and damaged the plane in the beginning of her trip. After repairs were made at Lockheed in Burbank, Ca. she was ready for another try, this time traveling west to east. “I have a feeling that there is just about one more good flight left in my system, and I hope this is it,” she said.
What did Astrology have to do with her disappearance? What was influencing her actions besides what’s been reported? Amelia was born on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. She told reporters she was born at 11:30 PM, which to any astrologer is a red flag. How many people said they were born at that time, only to find on their birth certificate it was rounded up or down to that time? Too many. So, I began by looking at her chart with that birth time, and it gives her a Taurus Rising. But, if she were born 10 minutes earlier, she would have an Aries Rising. Hmmm…

So, I cast her chart at 11:20, and she has 29 degrees Aries Rising. Feels right.

Then, I cast a chart for the crash, July 2, 1937, at the time of her last transmission, 10:14PM. The place: Howland Island in the South Pacific. There’s speculation as to whether she and Fred Noonan, her navigator, crashed into the ocean or crash landed on one of the Phoenix Islands; namely Nikumaroro Island, formerly called Gardner Island.

Without relying too much on her exact time of birth, I wanted to see which transits were active that could have any effect on her mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually.

A couple of them stand out. Mercury conjunct her natal Moon in Gemini, and Uranus square her natal Mercury. When transiting Mercury conjoined her natal Moon, she was upset already, trying to find the “needle in the haystack” Howland Island while running low on gas. This transit makes for emotional thinking, not rational.

Uranus squared her natal Mercury, making things even more confusing, nervous and tense. People make rash decisions under this transit, and traveling under this influence can be dangerous, and she was accident prone. Another manifestation of this transit is to have one’s ideas and opinions challenged by others. Fred and Amelia may have spent their last airborne minutes disagreeing on the proper solution to their plight.

However it occurred, and wherever they ended their journey is still a mystery. But from this astrologers point of view, like the hero who dies a hero’s death on the battle field, Amelia left as any noble flyer would design, on her last flight.

As I was writing this article, I was sitting in my backyard and a dove fell out of the sky onto its back, writhed around in pain, and died quickly. Message from Amelia….
