Now Saturn is opposite Jupiter!

by on May.23, 2010, under In The News

As I write this article we all have just weathered the opposition of Saturn and Uranus, and now Saturn is opposing Jupiter. What a set up! The first transit has shaken the foundation of our well being down to the core, and made us take responsibility for our creations, whether they are physical or otherwise.

Now this transit brings us to our knees with a push/pull between our hopes and dreams and our responsibilities. While these two planets are opposing, Venus and Pluto are also in opposition, adding stress to our relationships and forcing transformation within them.  This Grand Cross brings action rather than procrastinating any longer. We are forced to DEAL with our issues.

Take advantage of these otherwise disruptive energies and look at everything, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, in your life. Let go!

Saturn Opposite Uranus

by on May.14, 2010, under In The News

In my 25 years of professional practice, I’ve learned a great deal about the cycles of the planets and luminaries and how they are expressed in an individual’s chart. But there are cycles that affect us all, in a global way as well as personally.

One such cycle is the opposition of Saturn and Uranus, two Titan planets with very different energies. This particular event of Saturn and Uranus in opposition takes place 5 times between November of 2008 and July of 2010. Saturn is the planet of restraint, patience and self-discipline; it teaches us through experience and limitation. Uranus is the planet of freedom, unpredictability, change and revolution. These energies are polar opposites, and bring about huge changes. The last opposition was in 1965-1967, bringing great changes as “The Establishment” opposed “The Hippies”. Through music, politics and personal values, we all felt the effects of one system struggling against the other.

It began November 3rd and 4th of 2008, with the election of the past and Saturn(John McCain) versus the possible future and Uranus (Obama). It represents the old and the new battling for supremacy. The old America versus the new America. Stand back and see it clearly, with the campaign for Obama focusing on CHANGE. This dance between Saturn and Uranus has 5 exact oppositions in two years, with the second being 2/5/09, the third 9/15/09, the fourth just happened 4/26/10, and the final will take place July 26th, 2010.

World events reflect this dynamic, and most recently with the oil explosion and spill in the Gulf. The old versus the new, seen in another light. And yet, will it bring about the needed changes that are obviously being shown to us, or will we resist? In the final chapter in July, we will see if another world event is dialed in for us all to witness and question our values again.

On a personal level, we can all look within and see where we need to fine tune ourselves. Whether it be to exercise the discipline it takes to move forward in a secure and methodical fashion, or, to release the past that binds us to old patterns and ways of behavior that no longer serves us. Take a look at yourself, honestly, and invest the energy it takes to make the most positive moves now for your future. The planets support these changes in all of us, so take a deep look.

Welcome to Skypatterns Skytalk

by on May.14, 2010, under Welcome

judy_crescenzo Hello Everyone! My name is Judy Crescenzo and I’d like to welcome you to my site!

It is an amazing time to be alive on planet Earth. What with volcanoes erupting, earthquakes all over the world quaking, floods, and now another disaster with the explosion and oil slick in the Gulf. “The End Times” take on a new meaning, as the world changes beneath us.

What can you do? No matter where you live on our planet, you can become very conscious of what you fear and how to take action because of it. We are learning our true priorities now, and letting go of what doesn’t really serve us anymore. We are maturing as a people, and learning we must care for each other in order to move forward.

Be proactive in your life, reach out to your family, neighbors and community. Grow and change where needed, and enjoy every moment!

Blessings, Judy

Water Signs

Water Signs

Water comes in many forms. Water is necessary for everything to live and grow. Without water we would be extinct. We depend on water for everything from drinking to eating, bathing and swimming, recreation to travel, weather and science discoveries ad infinitim.

Water is expressed three ways in the zodiac; once as cardinal, CANCER, once as fixed, SCORPIO, and once as mutable, PISCES. Water rules the emotions in astrology, and indicates how we feel, our instincts and intuition, and what we are sensitive to.

The element changes with its environment. So do water sign individuals. They are extremely sensitive to their environment and those they surround themselves with. At times water people blend in with their environment, and can loose themselves to it. They thrive in a harmonious environment, and suffer in disharmony.

The element, being so amorphous seeks level. It flows into spaces and fills them. It cannot contain itself, unless it’s frozen. Water people tend to seek the empty space to fill with warmth, comfort, a good meal, a secure home. They can feel other’s pain and are compelled to help.

There are two opposite expressions of the water element. When water is active and flowing, it brings harmony, compassion, and understanding to its environment. When it doesn’t have an outlet, it rages and storms, or stagnates and eventually dries up. These people are very creative and need to channel their creativity.

Water people are very deep, as the element implies. Their temperament can be like a still lake, when their water element isn’t challenged by other signs. Or, if their water is challenged in their chart, their water may be expressed more like a raging storm. Half the battle with water people is being conscious and rational rather than feeling their way through life. They can be a target for manipulation, as they tend to not want a confrontation to stir the waters.

Sylvester Stallone and his Stellar Cast

by on Feb.09, 2010, under In The News

Sylvester Stallone is in the last stretch of making his newest film, The Expendables. He co-wrote and directs this film with a cast of giants, literally! The cast includes Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Austin, Dolph Lundgren and more.

I find it amazing that Sly is 63 years old at the time I’m writing this article! He is an example of a self made man, like the characters he depicts. With Sagittarius Rising, this man is in perpetual motion. He is optimistic, with positive expectations of himself and those he surrounds himself with. People are very important to Sly, and those around him know that.

Air Signs

by on Feb.08, 2010, under SkyerLearning

Air is essential to life and beings above and beneath the water all depend on it. It’s everywhere, filling in all the space around us. It’s invisible, unless affected by its environment. It is the wind that moves the weather through the skies, and keeps the planet alive.

Air is expressed three ways in the zodiac; once as cardinal, LIBRA, once as fixed, AQUARIUS, and once as mutable, GEMINI. The air element in the zodiac rules the intellect, communication and perception. It indicates what we think about, our concerns, our ability to turn events into knowledge through sorting, indexing and collating in our minds.

The air element is subject to ionization, which is positive or negatively charged energy. As such, air people can communicate like a furious wind and make another flee, or, like a gentle breeze and make others comfortable. Communication is key with air people, and when their ability to do so is blocked, they get nervous and irritable. They need an intellectual outlet in order to let their energy flow. Writing is wonderful, public speaking, reading, studying and gaining knowledge keep air people happy.

Air sign people are informative. They are the messengers in life. They need to share what they know, and enjoy conversation. Air people are great at research, as they are detached and objective about their subject. Or, can tend to be dreamers and not practical about the knowledge they gather, never putting it to use. Too much air gives one the absentminded appearance of being ungrounded; living in their head.

Air signs can either be surface skimming (GEMINI and LIBRA), or extremely deep, (AQUARIUS). Light conversation to deep probing are what air signs are all about. The information needs to move through the air signs, enen when the communication is fruitless.

A frustrated air sign will become critical, restless and skeptical. They will run over and over what was said, how it should have been communicated, on and on until they get a head ache.

Earth Signs

by on Feb.04, 2010, under SkyerLearning

The earth element comes in many forms, from rock to sand. It can be as hard as a diamond or as soft as powder. It comes as large as a mountain and as small as a speck under a microscope. It holds and records history as in the rings in a tree. Nature is a delicate balance on earth, and earth signs honor this.

There are three expressions of the earth element; the cardinal, CAPRICORN, the fixed, TAURUS, and the mutable, VIRGO. Earth rules the way in which we use our energy, what we use it for, what we are “building” in the world. It indicates our relationship with Mother Earth; whether or not we are native in nature, or uncomfortable in it.

Earth energy is what gets us through the day, putting one foot in front of the other. It gets us from here to there, we benefit from our connection to the Earth. Whatever house Earth rules, you will find practicality and determination at work. Look to these houses for the route to your trade, where your work lies.

Earth energy is grounding. It assists us in bringing our ideas down to the planet and making use of them. All Earth signs are concerned with work in one fashion or another, and thrive in constructive environments.  They usually give their share of help wherever they go.

The positive use of Earth energy is to be constructive, to build and grow and make life have meaning. It is our stick-to-it-ive-ness in order to receive comfort and satisfaction.

The negative uses of Earth energy is to be lazy and yet attached to life’s offerings, and live a life seeking gratification everywhere without responsibility.

Using the power of the Earth element shows resourceful practicality. It allows an individual to grow within the boundaries of their blueprint, and beyond.

Tiger by the Tail

by on Dec.27, 2009, under In The News

t_eTiger Woods is in the news for something other than golf as of late. His character is called into question now that the “cats” are out of the bag so to speak.

Once again, we are privy to more than we ever wanted to know about a celebrities’ escapades. It’s no surprise, happens all the time, but this time seemingly so unwarranted. I wanted to look at Tiger and Elin’s charts to see just what is going on here.

Tiger is a Capricorn, with Virgo Rising, and a Sagittarius Moon. On the outside, Tiger appears quiet and polite, but his name describes an entirely different nature. When you read his natal report (click here) there are some key’s to his inspiration, beginning with Sun square Pluto (infatuation with power and intense motives and desires), Moon opposite Mars (temperamental and impatient), Venus in Scorpio (values sexuality, obsessive desires), Mars sextile Jupiter (an anything goes mentality), Jupiter in Aries (competitive and “me” oriented), Saturn in Leo (needs constant praise and admiration), and Uranus in Scorpio (emotional intensity and promiscuity).

At the time of Tiger’s accident after his and Elin’s argument, there was a T-Square between the Moon, Saturn and Pluto. The Moon at 2 degrees Aries, square Pluto at 2 degrees Capricorn, and Saturn at 2 degrees Libra, square Pluto and opposite the Moon.
This creates tension and obsession emotionally and sure seems to have taken hold of the both of them. It’s the last straw transit.

The chart wheel is Tiger Woods natal chart in the center and the planets in place at the time of the accident. The report is about Tiger Woods, the man in trouble. At least for now.

Tiger and Elin Woods Crash

by on Dec.13, 2009, under In The News

tiger_and_elin_nordigren_woodsOn November 27th at 2:25 AM Tiger crashed into a tree trying to leave his house. It was reported he and Elin were fighting prior to him leaving in his SUV, and he was injured in the crash.

As an astrologer, I wanted to look at their transits and see just what was happening. At the time of the event, there was a powerful astrological transit involving the Moon, Pluto and Saturn called a T-Square. These events, where planets and luminaries align in such a “pattern” as to create an effect on humanity, are very powerful!

Here we have the Moon at 2 degrees Aries, square Pluto at 2 degrees Capricorn, and oppose Saturn at 2 degrees Libra. The Moon is responsible for the crazy emotions at work, Pluto is transformational and provides the storm, and Saturn brings the limitation that ignites through frustration. Add to this the most powerful dynamic known to man: a woman scorned.

Go to FAMOUS PEOPLE and read in detail about the both of them, and then their compatibility report in The Woods.
